I n the near future, it will be necessary for the senior citi:ens to nurse the oiher senior citizens because of declining populaiion of children and increasing a new type of family. W e haoe been developing welfare robots which can support lives o f t h e senior ciiirens and have sensibility io lighten the burden imposed on nursing. The measnrement. of emotions from ihe usual conversation is consideEd io be one of its basic researches. In fhispaper, we are going io propose ihe algorism o f i h e emotion measurxmeni and the prototype system based on this algorism, and we are also going t o discuss its ualid-ity.
